Review: Thank God there is a sequel. This book was absolutely amazing I need to read more and know what happens next. I'm so glad that I decided to expand my dealings with high fantasy by reading this book.
I love the characters. I love the setting. I love the magic. I love this book.
Brandon Sanderson is an amazing author. I always find it so fascinating how people come up with these worlds with magic and backstories and different settings and whatnot. Sanderson is able to create a riveting world that's hold so many different characters and at least two types of magic. The Final Empire is not as beautiful as it once was due to the ash that falls from the sky. The plant life is no longer green and people don't generally know what flowers are. There are also so many different creatures that frighten others and different magic that people can use. Every bit of this long book was important to really make you feel like you are part of the story which is something that I always look for when I read fantasy.
The characters were constantly growing and changing throughout the book. Watching Vin start to become a real person and start to trust and care about others was fantastic and really made me feel for her. I loved how her romance with Elend wasn't the focal point of the story, but just a mere layer. Although I do love Vin, Sazed was probably my favorite character. I thought that Sazed was hilarious and he was a great caretaker for Vin. Kelsier is also high on the list of favorite characters because he was such a good father figure for Vin and he was just an awesome character.
If there is one thing I'm excited for, it's reading the sequel!!! I would definitely reommend reading this book, especially if you want to read more high fantasy.

Hope you all enjoyed! Talk to you soon.
